About 2018 Best Places to Work

Best Places to Work is an innovative publication and awards program produced by the Washington Business Journal (WBJ). The rankings were determined by surveys that went directly to employees who answered a series of questions. The survey was administered online by and through a service provided by Quantum Workplace, WBJ’s research partner. The rankings are numeric based on Quantum’s scoring process. By ranking companies and sharing best practices they facilitate idea sharing and help other companies learn from the best.

NRP’s 10th Annual Employee Choice Awards 2017

NRP’s 10th Annual Employee Choice Awards 2017

On March 2, 2018 NRP held the Annual Employee Choice Awards luncheon to celebrate the company’s 2017 successes. It was a fun afternoon filled with employee recognition and enjoyment!

Three prestigious awards were distributed during the annual celebration. Two of the award winners were selected by the employees of NRP through a secret ballot process overseen by Betsy Johns and Jim Foley.

The awards include; “President’s Award,” “Customer Service” and “Most Valuable Teammate.”

The President’s Award is given to an associate who best exemplifies NRP Values and Beliefs, as well as consistently displays positive leadership qualities. The recipient of this very respected award is typically chosen by Jim Foley and Betsy Johns with the exception of this year, the employees influenced by votes for this year’s winners.

NRP’s Customer Service Award is given to the associate who has provided the best customer service, consistently, throughout the year determined by their teammates. Peer voting and consideration based on feedback from co-workers, customers and contractors.

Fostering a culture of camaraderie, teamwork and general support of one another brings up the last award, “Most Valuable Teammate.” Assisting others without prompting and proactively working to better his or her position within NRP is why this award is so meaningful.

The 2017 award recipients:

President’s Award: April Meza, Director of Association Management and (yes, it was a tie!) Liliana Martinez, Director of Management Operations

Customer Service: Sarah Foley, Website Services Supervisor

Most Valuable Teammate: James Ashby, Financial Associate

Congratulations to all of the 2017 winners! Thank you to all who made 2017 an outstanding year for NRP. We are looking forward to a successful 2018 and what it has in store.
